Britwell have regained top spot in the East Berkshire League Premier Division after equalling the biggest win in the season on Saturday.
Britwell, the defending champions, lost top spot when losing at home to Frontline two weeks ago but, humbled struggling Surrey Rangers 10-0 to once again set the pace in the race for the title.
Ben White was the star on show for the Steamteam at Frimley Lodge Park with his four goals haul, whist Daniel Malloy took his tally for the campaign to nine goals in six matches with a hat-trick. The Britwell potent strike force includes summer recruit Harry Farnan and he bagged with a brace, with player-manager John Brennan also on the scoresheet.
The 10-0 win equals the record set by Division One leaders, Stoke Poges, who reached double figures without reply in a victory at Berks Elite on 5th November.
Old Windsor however, are the highest scorers in the Premier Division so far this season with 34 goals in seven matches after a 9-0 success at bottom side Chalvey Sports Reserves.
The Os were four goals ahead at the break thanks to a Mark Beale brace, with both Lewis Corney and George Gould also hitting the back of the net at the Chalvey Recreation Ground. The points were secured in the second period when Gould scored twice more to complete a hat-trick, with further goals from Corney, Jude Van Spall and substitute Liam Spires.
Iver Heath have leapfrogged Southcote into fourth position in the table with a narrow 4-3 win at Iver Heath Recreation Ground.
Kingsley Etefia scored a hat-trick for the home team with a Ryan Partington goal the difference between the two sides. A Eric Macharia treble was not enough for Southcote to avoid defeat and drop out of the top half of the table.
Iver Heath star Etefia is now the leading goals scorer in the Premier Division this season with 11 goals in just seven appearances.
