It is all change at the bottom of the East Berkshire League Premier Division as both Cookham Dean and Chalvey Sports gained important wins on Saturday to move out of the relegation zone.
Cookham beat Frontline 3-0 to secure back-to-back victories in the league, while Chalvey ended a run of four straight defeats in the top flight to beat A.F.C Reading 3-1.
Goals from Sean Inkpen and Shane Donaldson gave Cookham a clear lead heading into the break, and a third goal from substitute Joseph Newman in the second half secured all three points for the home team at the Alfred Major Recreation Ground.
Frontline did not help themselves when Anwar Alzebir was dismissed for a second bookable offence, and this defeat will be a huge blow to their title aspirations, now five points behind the pace set by Britwell.
Chalvey took the lead when Alfie O’Connor hit the back of the net after a half hour at the Berkshire County Sports Club, but the scores were level at half-time as Jake Bennett equalised for Reading.
O’Connor will take all the plaudits for a star performance because two more goals in the second half completed his hat-trick and ensured The Stabmonks left with all three points.

Premier Division leaders Britwell set a new record for Biggest Win of the Season when thrashing Pundit 13-0 at the Britwell Community Centre - a result that sky rockets their impressive goals difference to +40 after only seven games.
George Dewhurst was the chief destroyer for the league leaders with a double hat-trick (six goals), whilst Cheyenne Cripps came on as a substitute to bag a brace. Fellow subs Stephen Braybrook, Billy Hart and Thomas O’Reilly all also came on to score. Conor Remsbury-Kelly found the back of the net as a starter.
The defeat means Pundit have not won away from home since the opening day of the season back in August, and remain eighth in the table, four points above the relegation zone.
Britwell share the highest win record with F.C. Baylis United after they thumped F.C. Beaconsfield 13-0 at Wooburn Green Lane Field - a win that sees Baylis climb back into the top five in the table.
Nabill Abeid set the tone for the game with a hat-trick inside the first half hour before Kamran Khan found a route to goal three times in the last nine minutes of the opening period.
Both Zafeer Khan and substitute Ibrahim Sajid scored twice in the second half, with further goals from Haris Farooq, Oluwadamilola Famakin and sub, Saleh Saleh.
PICTURE: Bracknell Aces returned to winning form with a narrow 3-2 victory over Berks Elite in East Berkshire League Division One on Saturday.
F.C. Beaconsfield had only conceded 19 goals in five league matches prior to this heavy defeat, but it means the team now slumps into the relegation zone and the bottom of the league table. Beaconsfield do, however, have games in hand on all the sides above them in the table, starting with a trip to Sandhurst Royals this Saturday.
K.S. Gryf have also dropped into the relegation zone following a 4-1 defeat to Langley F.C. Reserves at Kedermister Park. There were four different goals scorers for Langley; Max Errington, Tai Maddox, Ross McGarvie and substitute Joe Rose. The consolation effort for the visitors came from Marcel Niezgoda
Berks Elite missed a second opportunity to move into the promotion places in East Berkshire League Division One after a 3-2 defeat at Bracknell Aces - The Aces ending a five-game losing streak in all competitions. Alfie Hill bagged a brace with Ciaran McNamara also on the scoresheet for Bracknell at Ringmead.
The result means Berks Elite remain in sixth position in the Division One table and three points behind the promotion positions. Bracknell have moved up two places to ninth spot and now within touching distance of mid-table.
Eton Wick secured back-to-back wins in the league, and now three victories in four games in all competitions, when beating Barton Rovers 7-0 at Theale Green School.
The game was over as a contest at the break because The Wick scored four times without reply. Orren Oliver broke the deadlock inside nine minutes, with Edward Burton hitting the back of the net twice late on in the first half. Oliver was the star man for the visitors and scored three more goals in the last 20 minutes of the match to complete an impressive personal four-goals haul.
Prospect F.C maintain mid-table respectability thanks to a 4-2 success at Taplow United F.C. Swans - the Reading-based side’s third win in four matches in all competitions.
Prospect player-manager Dawid Jarzebowski scored in the victory at Popes Field, with Kacper Sek and Mikolaj Watroba also on the scoresheet. Alex Seymour is a regular goal scorer for Taplow and added two more to his personal tally for the season, but The Swans remain third from bottom in Division One.
