F.C. Bracknell regained the top spot in East Berkshire League Division One after a 6-0 win against Taplow United F.C. Swans on Saturday.
Bracknell have been in remarkable form this season and, suffering their only defeat to date on the opening weekend back in mid-August, have since won eight league games in a row to rise to the head of the table.
The victors at Great Hollands Recreation Ground can boast six different goals scorers; Ben Clarke, Charlie Craske, Luke Garton, Andre Jardim, Kyle Wallbanks and substitute, Calvin Grainger.
Bracknell are the fourth different team to set a pace at the top of the Division One table with the title rivals; Caversham United, Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves and Hype Train all also having spent some time in top spot already this season.
Bracknell were the only team currently in the top five to compete in the league last weekend but underneath those positions other teams are making up ground, notably Eton Wick who recorded a third win in four matches when thrashing bottom side HKRG United 12-0.
Orren Oliver will take all the plaudits for The Wick having scored a double hat-trick (six goals). Oliver, remarkably, completed a treble inside the opening 10 minutes of the match at the Ryeish Green Sports Hub. He added a fourth before the break and then two more in the final 20 minutes of the game for a tremendous personal haul.
Oliver Brotherston bagged a brace in the victory, with further goals from Alex McMinn, Felippe Harrison plus substitutes Kris Paterson and Ryan Blease.
The success means Eton Wick are up to seventh position in the table and outside of the top half on goals difference only. HKRG United remain rooted to the bottom and still looking for their first points in the East Berkshire League.
Real Saracens were victorious in their first game of the season but had to wait until Saturday for a second win, beating Barton Rovers 5-0 at Theale Green School. Saracens can return to the top half of the division with another success this weekend, while Rovers are still searching for their first points in the league.
Bracknell Aces picked up their first win on the road this season when victorious 3-2 at Prospect, the Reading-based side missing out on the chance to complete a hat-trick of wins in all competitions.
Goals from Alfie Hills, Lewis Lancaster and substitute Alex Girling helped The Aces take all three points from Calcot Recreation Ground. Both Dawid Jarzebowski and Oskar Jaroslaw Sieg hit the back of the net for Prospect.
