PICTURE: Old Windsor striker Harry Farnan has been in superb form since re-joining the Premier Division champions in the summer and he scored another hat-trick in the 5-2 success at FC Baylis United on Saturday, helping his side to a fifth straight win in the league.
Old Windsor maintained their perfect winning start in the East Berkshire League Premier Division with a 5-2 victory over FC Baylis United on Saturday.
The defending champions have now won in all five of their league matches this season to take a share of the lead, with Britwell, at the top of the table.
The Os are now on a 16-match winning streak in the top flight of the East Berkshire League, an incredible run that stretches back to September 2023. The last team to prevent Old Windsor from taking all three points was Singh Sabha in a 2-2 draw.
Striker, Harry Farnan, has been a key instrument to their recent successes and his first-half hat-trick at the Iver Recreation Ground all but ended this game as a contest.
James Walton was on the scoresheet for the visitors inside nine minutes, and Toby Donnelly bagged a fifth goal inside the opening 60 seconds of the second period.
This is the first time FC Baylis have failed to win at home in the Premier Division, but the team remains in a safe mid-table position. Usman Javid found a route to goal in time added on at the end of the first half, and Saleh Saleh bagged a consolation goal on the hour mark.
Sandhurst Royals missed out on the chance to take a clear lead at the top of the table after suffering a 3-2 defeat at Frontline, the victors getting their title challenge back on track following two games without a win.
There was three different goals scorers for Frontline at Burnham Grammar School; Anwar Alzebir, Imran Kassim and Sayyid Saleh. Both Thomas Nower and George Wilson were on target for The Royals, the team remains level on points with both Britwell and Old Windsor but having played three matches more.
Langley Reserves completed a hat-trick of wins in the Premier Division thanks to a 3-1 victory over KS Gryf at The Polish Association. The improving Langley team is now unbeaten in the league since the opening day of the season. The goals came from Owen McCarthy, Ash Pugh and substitute Harley Dyer.
KS Gryf were not helped by their own ill-discipline with both Kacper Malinowski and Assumani Mchabwa shown a red card in the game. The one positive was a goal from Marcel Niezgoda.
FC Beaconsfield ended a four-match losing streak to record a first win in the Premier Division since returning to the league in the summer, a 3-2 victory against AFC Reading at Wooburn Green Lane Field.
Goals from Keith Goldswain, Harry Layton and Samuel Middling bagged all three points for Beaconsfield and lift them out of the relegation positions in the table.
AFC Reading are now four matches without a win in the league and have slipped to seventh place in the table. Their goals Reece Jones inside the first 15 minutes of the contest and substitute Jeremy West with nine minutes still to play.
