Prospect F.C are continuing their surge towards the promotion places in East Berkshire League Division One with a fifth straight victory on Saturday, a high-scoring 6-4 success against Barton Rovers.

The Reading-based side have collected maximum points in the league since a narrow loss to Old Windsor Reserves on 23 November, and are now outside of the promotion zone on goals difference only.

Prospect player-manager Dawid Jarzebowski was the star on show at the Calcot Recreation Ground with a hat-trick. Goals from both Oskar Jaroslaw Sieg and Jake Jarzebowski put the hosts in a strong position in the first half. Kwame Mensah came off the substitutes bench to score the teams’s fifth goal just before the hour mark.

Barton Rovers are still searching for their first points in the East Berkshire League, but this represents significant improvement, the most goals the side has scored in a single game this season.

Connor Cox twice found a route to goal, with both Brandon De’Oliveira and Callum Rosier also finding a route to goal in the entertaining contest.

Eton Wick recorded back-to-back wins in Division One for the first team since mid-November following a 4-2 victory against HKRG United.

HKRG broke the deadlock at Haywards Mead when Ching Ching Wong struck on 30 minutes. The Wick equalised before the break, and then went through the gears to open up a clear advantage in the second half. Goals from Edward Burton, Jordan Pamenter and Oliver Brotherston settled the game as a contest, but the visitors did bag a late consolation effort through substitute Yik Lun Lau.

Old Windsor Reserves have progressed into the Quarter Finals of the League Cup competition following their 2-0 win against Bracknell Aces at the Recreation Ground.

Goals in the second half from Ollie Ellis and Daniel Pilcher settled the Second Round tie, although The Os were reduced to 10 men when Sean Blandford was shown a second yellow card.

Old Windsor will now welcome Langley Reserves to the Recreation Ground, and the winners of the Quarter Finals match will book a spot into Semi Finals Day at Eton Wick F.C and Social Club on Saturday 22 March.
