Red-hot Slough Heating Laurencians F.C. Reserves win sixth game in a row

PICTURE: Slough Heating Laurencians F.C Reserves have won all six of their last matches in all competitions including a 6-1 win against Bracknell Aces in Division One on Saturday.

Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves are still burning hot in late autumn after recording a sixth straight win in all competitions on Saturday.

The Lauries have been in red-hot form in recent weeks to make progress in three separate cup competitions, and a 5-1 success at Bracknell Aces last weekend moves them up to second in the East Berkshire League Division One table.

The visitors to Ringmead can boast five different goals scorers; Joshua Kurton, Callum Stanley, Alfie Clark, Sherif Elghoneimi and Alfie Jago.

Bracknell got a late consolation goal through Harvey Redman, but a third successive league defeat sees The Aces remain third from bottom in the table.

Caversham United maintained their perfect winning record at The Atrium Health Club with a 4-0 victory over Real Saracens, a success that moves The Billy Goats four points clear of the chasing pack in the title race.

A goal from Noah Smith gave Caversham a narrow lead heading into the break. The home team built on that advantage in the second with goals from Bevan Van Wyk, substitute Daniel Amponsah and Lucas Shaffner to take the points.

Real Saracens remain in ninth place in the league standings and now without a goal in each of their last two games in all competitions.

Old Windsor Reserves had to recover from falling behind to win 2-1 at Berks Elite and leapfrog them into fifth position in Division One.

Berks Elite took the lead at the Aldermastion Recreational Society through Joseph Osei, but The Os hit back to take all three points with both Liam Spires and Mark Walker scoring in the second half. The winning strike from Walker hitting the back of the net inside the last five minutes of the game.

The loss means Berks Elite miss out on the chance to move into the promotion spots, and it is a second successive loss for a team that went unbeaten in their first five league games.

Britwell returned to the top of the table in the Premier Division with a 3-0 win over Sandhurst Royals at The Community Centre. Their goals came from Daniel Molloy, Conor Remsbury-Kelly and Nathan Sethi.

Britwell stand top of the pile on goals difference from rivals, Old Windsor, and this success represents their sixth clean sheet in eight games in all competitions this season. Only KS Gryf and Frontline has so far managed to breach the imperious defence.

The defeat means Sandhurst drop one place to fourth in the table but it has still been an impressive start to the campaign for a side promoted in the summer months -  their only defeats have come at the hands of recent champions or runners-up.

Frontline have completed the league double of Langley Reserves this season thanks to a narrow 3-2 victory at Burnham Grammar School. The Frontline goals came from Karim Chaibi, Hassan Omar and Sayyid Saleh.

Both Anis Ouandlous and substitute Joe Rose hit the back of the net for Langley. The team still stand with plenty of respectability in a top five position, jus two points behind the sides currently gunning for the title.

A.F.C Reading have ended a five-match winless streak in the Premier Division to beat K.S Gryf 2-0 at The Polish Association. Both of the goals came in the first half with Luke Chappelle and Leighton Bisset ensuring all three points went back to West Berkshire.

The win means AFC Reading remain just below mid-table whilst K.S Gryf are outside of the relegation zone on goals difference alone following a third straight defeat in the Premier Division.
